A Few Miles For Luck...

A Few Miles For Luck...

Our favourite and those on high journey rates can really go for it with this one. It seems unfair to call it a scam really, after all car odometers have a level of inaccuracy and numerous websites offer distance options for the same journey. They use different algorithms to calculate address to address journeys, which really plays in our favour. Let me also add that if I've been working all day surely it is fair to claim my journey to the supermarket on the way home. So we claim for the journey to the supermarket and add a few miles on top - for luck.

Large mileage claims which are inconsistent with the person’s job role are a sign, but a quick random check of some journey claims will show the scope of the scam. Look out for distances ending in zeros and fives. Dare I suggest that around 80% of journey claims are not quite where they should be...
