Why Security Industry Authority Chose Expenses

Who is the SIA?

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) exists to manage the licensing of the private security industry as set out in the Private Security Industry Act 2001.

The SIA aims to raise standards of professionalism and skills within the private security industry and to promote and spread best practice. They are the only authority in England and Wales dealing with these private security issues and report directly to the Home Secretary.

Why look at an automated system?

The financial controller noticed that the finance assistant was spending a lot of time putting claims on to the ledger, time that they felt could be better spent.

“We weren't looking for an expense management product but after seeing a product demonstration we decided that it would be good for improving expense submission and reporting,” comments Diane.
